Weekly Shakedown: It’s Friday…

Feeling pretty lazy today, but I figured I would blab for a second about some things that have been on my mind the last couple of days. I was over at DigitalPoint forums, trolling the SEO section looking for a post that would inspire me to join the fray. 9 times out of 10 however, I just found myself getting pretty irritated with the endless banter about PageRank. PageRank is STUPID. Please everyone, let’s move on and focus on getting conversions, not a pretty little green bar.
Over at my home away from home, my favorite SEO forum, SEO Refugee, there was a conversation going on over there about blogger disclosure that I personally think is full of good points.  This topic was originally being somewhat debated between Rand at SEOmoz and Shoemoney on his blog that covers how bloggers that are being paid to support a position or product should or should not disclose their affiliations.
For me honestly, I think full disclosure is vital to your own image as well as keeping visitor trust. But, that’s just me.
I had a pleasant surprise when I happened to take a look at my Feedburner stats and discovered that my post about getting pointless and useless number one rankings for keywords you could totally care less was discussed by my bff Lisa at Bruce Clay’s blog. I think it’s great how Lisa won’t shy away from giving little guys like me a moment in the spotlight. You totally rock Lisa, and when you visit Hawaii I owe you a beer. Or a frilly drink with a bunch of umbrellas in it. Your choice.
But what makes this a totally lazy Friday for me is that I’m so swamped with overdue work right now, that my mind is blocking it all out like it’s a traumatic event. And that my friends, is the beauty of the human mind.
