So long SEO Honolulu, hello new blog

The Good News:

I’m pleased to announce that I have a new blogging home and new domain that I would like for all of you to come check out.  Head on over to my new tech/web development blog The Lost Coder and make yourselves at home.  This is where I’ll be from now on.

The Sad News.. Sorta:

SEO Honolulu is going to go archival and no new posts will go up after today.  So I prefer “fading away” instead of “burning out” for this blog. I’ve had a great time meeting people in the SEO industry and chatting with fellow bloggers and web developers about all things web and search related.  There are so many things I would love to blog about everyday that don’t quite fit into the theme of this site, so I have found myself neglecting the blog when the writing bug has bit me.  So I’m not going away, just expanding my scope beyond web development and internet marketing at a new home.

The Lost Coder is going to encompass more of what I have wanted to talk about on this blog but was just never sure if it would fit in.  So I will be talking about SEO and web development still, actually more on the web dev side with code snippets of mine… but I will also be talking about Linux, Open Source for web and desktop, life and work issues, and my love of stupidly expensive techno-junk.  So all in all, it’s a geek haven and I think I’m gonna have a blast over there.

So what prompted all of this?

The Awesome News:

Well first off, as I mentioned previously about becoming a daddy again soon, it’s A GIRL !!!  Thanks to those of you who helped make that possible by “thinking pink” for me :).  My wife and I are due in late August and we’re still trying to pick a name.  Oh, and I’m scared of all the pink stuff that’s starting to fill our room in preparation of her arrival.

Also, as I mentioned almost a year ago when I was looking for work, I finally landed a job that I feel is at the right compensation and the right environment.  Yea, I was being picky this whole time, but I want a career somewhere.. not just some job somewhere.  I start in early July.  More about the job and my transition will be posted on the new blog.

Lastly, in light of those 2 things I just mentioned, we are going to be moving closer to my work and to accomodate baby girl when she comes home from the hospital.  We’re moving in about 2 weeks.  Yikes.. busy busy life right now.

So if you will join me over there, I would really appreciate it.  Here’s to new beginnings… bottoms up!
