Guess who’s coming to Thanksgiving
Hi there. So I put the site back up and I’m giving it another go.. just in time for Thanksgiving. I had some non-work related issues to sort out, that’s what I’ll leave it at. Nothing bad, just life and stuff. And if anyone asks, I was with you night before last, mmkay? Thanks.
There’s just no way I could miss out on this time of year. For SEO folks, this is like getting passed the dark meat on the turkey instead of that nasty shit fruitcake. This is the good stuff.. we get trends & statistics.. we get traffic.. we get a chance to push our clients in front of a HUGE clustered audience of shoppers and looky-loo’s. This is our last chance to burn up some bandwidth before the new year rolls in.
For E-Commerce, this is primetime. This is what it’s all about for them. Spending all summer and most of the fall advertising and pushing awareness, in hopes of their site being revisited from earlier in the year so Suzie Jones can buy that inflatable Tony Danza for her sister. (*disclaimer - I don’t actually know if that exists. I really hope not.)
However, for the service industry, it’s not so great. We’re in 4th quarter of the fiscal year now.. budgets are spent and no one at the workplace is really focusing on work or the outdated/broken/flaming equipment in the corner. Don’t lie, you’re not either. We’re all getting wrapped up in the frenzied panic of shopping and gorging on fat gluttonous foods. Well.. except for that damn fruitcake.
So shoppers, start your search engines and buckle yourself in for another record year of online sales to be had. I’m glad to be back with everyone. Pass me the stuffing would ya?
